A Tremendous Anime Presence at L.A. Comic Con

L.A. Comic Con is coming to the Los Angeles Convention Center the weekend of December 1st through the 3rd! This year, a star-studded list of guests will be in attendance. Fans of all ages will have the opportunity to enjoy panels, photo-ops, autograph sessions, and so much more! There is a large presence of anime at this year’s convention.

Anime at L.A. Comic Con

Anime has become more mainstream in the last few years. From classics like One Piece and Dragon Ball, to newer series like Bungo Stray Dogs and Demon Slayer, anime fans have grown in numbers. L.A. Comic Con has a number of different activities, panels, and autograph sessions for their attendees who have a passion for Japanese pop culture.

There is an anime cosplay meetup scheduled for December 2nd at 12:00 PM in the South Hall of the convention center. This is an L.A. Comic Con scheduled meetup for any and all anime cosplayers to attend!

On the Gaming and Anime Stage, there will be some awesome panels that spotlight different voice actors. Here is a list of panels:

  • Spotlight on: Johnny Yong Bosch (Vash, Trigun; Ichigo Kurosaki, BLEACH) – Saturday, December 2nd from 12:30 PM – 12:55 PM.
  • Spotlight on: Sean Schemmel (Goku, Dragon Ball Z) – Saturday, December 2nd from 1:00 PM – 1:35 PM
  • Attack on Titan with Bryce Papenbrook and Trina Nishimura – Saturday, December 2nd from 1:30 PM – 1:55 PM.
  • Spotlight on Emily Rudd (Nami in the Live Action One Piece) – Saturday, December 2nd from 3:00 PM – 3:25 PM

While the actors will be attending the convention both Saturday and Sunday, the only time they are participating in panels is Saturday.

  • Jamie Marchi – Fruits Basket, Attack on Titan OVA
  • David Matranga – My Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, Trigun Stamede
  • Justin Cook – My Hero Academia, Fruits Basket
