October is a big month for anime fans! Many series are returning with new episodes and entire seasons for the fall. Here are some of the October anime being released.
October Anime Releases
Spy X Family Season 2
Secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet: pretend to be a family man in order to secure world peace. Posing as a loving husband and father, his plan is to infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover. However, his wife just so happens to be a deadly assassin, and neither knows each other’s identity. His adopted daughter, Anya, is a secret telepath who knows the truth about her adoptive parents!
Season 1 was released in two parts, with a total of 25 episodes available on Crunchyroll.
Season 2 of Spy X Family will premiere on Crunchyroll on October 1st.
Tokyo Revengers Season 3
Tokyo Revengers follows Takemichi Hanagaki, a despondent, underachieving 26 year-old man who is drifting through life on a series of part time jobs. He learns that his middle school ex-girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, and her brother have been tragically killed during a dispute involving a dangerous gang. Suddenly, he is thrown back in time, back to his middle school years. Takemichi makes the decision to change the past in order to change his present and prevent Hinata’s death.
Season 1 has 24 episodes and is available on Crunchyroll. Season 2 has 12 episodes and can be streamed on Hulu.
Tokyo Revengers season 3 will be released on Hulu on October 3rd.
Goblin Slayer Season 2
Goblin Slayer follows an adventurer identified as “Goblin Slayer.” Onna is a rookie adventurer and priestess. Onna’s adventure guild works together to fight against the Demon Lord by taking down his minions, the goblins.
Season 1 is available on Crunchyroll. After six years, fans are getting a second season.
According to the official Goblin Slayer website, season 2 will begin to air on October 6th.
Dr. STONE Season 3, Part 2
Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turns all of humanity to stone, the extraordinarily intelligent, science-driven boy, Senku Ishigami, awakens. In a world of stone that has seen the collapse of civilization, Senku chooses to rebuild humanity through his knowledge of science. He wakes up some of his friends and begins to bring humanity back from nothing.
There are currently three seasons and a movie, with the third season being split into two parts. Season 3, part 2 of Dr. STONE will be released on Crunchyroll in October, with the world premiere of the first episode at New York Comic Con on October 12th.
Undead Unluck
Based on the manga by Yoshifumi Tozuka, Undead Unluck follows a woman who brings misfortune to anyone she meets. Fuko is cursed with “unluck.” She meets a man named Andy who cannot die. Andy hopes that Fuko’s curse will finally bring an end to his life.
Undead Unluck will premiere on Hulu in October.
