Anime Pasadena is returning for its fifth year! Anime Pasadena 2023 will take place November 4th and 5th at the Pasadena Convention Center and is going to be bigger and better than ever.

Located at the heart of beautiful Pasadena, California, Anime Pasadena will bring out the very best photographers, videographers, vendors, and awesome members of the anime community.

Not only will there be bigger and better activities, there will also be over 300 vendors* and artists in the vendor hall and artist alley. Additionally, over 45 celebrity guests will be in attendance at Anime Pasadena 2023. Keep an eye on social media for updates on guest announcements.
Cosplay at Anime Pasadena
Cosplay plays a huge role in the experience of anime fans in attendance at conventions like Anime Pasadena. Cosplay, or costume play, allows attendees to express their love of their favorite characters through dressing up. There will be cosplay contests for both children and adults as well as cosplay photoshoots.
Also, attendees are welcome to host cosplay meetups throughout the weekend. Currently, there are already a number of different meetups scheduled for the weekend. Visit the Meetups tab on the Anime Pasadena website to find out details about the scheduled meetups or to submit your own.
In order to make the event as fun and safe as possible, there are some rules for props. No functional props or real weapons are allowed at Anime Pasadena. All cosplay or costume props and weapons need to go through a weapons’ check located at the front entrance They will be inspected and tagged as CHECKED. Blasters, lightsabers, and common place props are allowed. Please use common sense. If the props are at all dangerous to the public, then you will not be allowed to bring it inside the convention center.
Tickets and Hours
Tickets for Anime Pasadena 2023 can be purchased online. Children 12 and under are free. For each adult ticket purchase, 2 free kid passes will be allotted. An adult must be present at check-in with the child attendees.
The convention begins at 10 AM on both Saturday, November 4th and Sunday, November 5th. The convention closes at 7 PM on Saturday and 6 PM on Sunday.
