In an exclusive interview with Deadline, Shannon Lee (Bruce Lee’s daughter) announced House Of Lee, a Bruce Lee-inspired anime series set to premiere in 2024. After years of wanting to produce an animated project, Bruce Lee Entertainment has teamed up with Shibuya, a company specializing in community campaigns, and its co-founder/artist, Emily Yang, well known in the Web3 space as Pplpleasr for this project. Lee selected Shibuya and Yang as partners after watching their anime short, White Rabbit.
Bruce Lee Anime: House of Lee
House of Lee is an action/fantasy series that follows Bruce Lee on his journey to assemble his Dragon Warriors before the world gets fully consumed by shadow and darkness. The concept for this series was inspired by Bruce Lee’s famous quote, “Those who are unaware they are walking in darkness will never seek the light.”

Lee connected with Shibuya through Dennis Chang, Managing Partner of Bruce Lee, LLC. Yang says she found herself immediately resonating with the narrative of House Of Lee. She loves that it touches on themes of spirituality, the battle against one’s inner demons, family legacy, and aspects of the AAPI experience. Finding the right team to help her share this very personal story while also allowing her to retain creative control and ownership was important. Shibuya’s goal is to help creators do just that.
Over the years, Shannon has dedicated time to honoring her late father’s philosophies and art by leading initiatives as co-founder and chairperson for the Bruce Lee Foundation (BLF). BLF was founded in 2002 by Linda Lee Cadwell and Shannon Lee with a vision to share the art and philosophy of Bruce Lee with the world for generations to come. Some initiatives they’ve launched are the BLF College Scholarships program, Little Dragons Program, and Camp Bruce Lee. With House Of Lee anime set to premiere in 2024, viewers can continue to celebrate Bruce Lee’s philosophies, art, motivation, honest self-expression, and inspiration around the world in a new way!
Enter the Dragon Anniversary
Did you know that Enter The Dragon, the film that made Bruce Lee a household name globally, came out 50 years ago?
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Enter The Dragon, a 4K UHD screening of the movie will be held in over 650 theaters on August 13 and August 16. During these screenings, they will show the trailer for House Of Lee as well as a special introduction by film historian Leonard Maltin. Maltin’s introduction will allow audiences to examine Enter The Dragon’s legacy as the first kung fu action film produced by a Hollywood studio and delve into the iconic fight sequences!
