July is fast approaching, and with that, another Pokémon Go Community Day Classic is at hand! So grab your sunscreen, your Squirtle-squad shades, and let’s Go catch some Pokémon!
Sunday, July 9, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. local time, trainers around the world will be on the lookout for the chance to catch a shiny Squirtle!
As always, you have up to 5 hours after the event to evolve Squirtle into its final evolution, Blastoise. If evolved in time, your Pokémon can learn the charged attack “Hydro Cannon”!
Wondering what other community perks await? We’ve compiled a list of special features to look out for during the event:
-
- 3-hour incense and lures
-
- 1/4 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in Incubators during the event
-
- Increased chance of photobombs
If you are fired up and craving more, you can purchase the special research task in the shop, and a special Squirtle-themed Field Research will be available! Catch Squirtles to earn an encounter with a Squirtle wearing sunglasses for $1 USD. Also, you can gift the research task to friends you’ve obtained friendship levels with of “great friends” or higher!
With July being a Community Day Classic, what has been your all-time favorite classic shiny catch? We’d love to know!
Until next time, happy hunting!
