Haikyuu will soon be coming to a close with not one but two movie adaptations.
Fans of the franchise have had mixed emotions on if two featured films will be enough to cover the remaining 110 chapters after it was confirmed there would be no season 5. It is speculated that the studio decided to go the movie route due to budget restrictions after season 4’s production suffered setbacks during the pandemic and was not renewed for another season.
There currently is no official release date for Haikyuu!! Final. However, the movie kick-off event for the first film of the sequel is set to take place sometime this August, with a theater release anticipated for later this year.
This again brings us back to the question, will two movies be enough for fans to cover the remaining chapters? Will this cause production to condense the chapters cutting much of the storyline? Let us know your thoughts!
