On the Idolmaster’s YouTube Channel this past Saturday, Bandai Namco announced its longstanding web browser game, Idolm@ster: Shiny Colors, is getting a brand new mobile game. The browser game was launched in April 2018 and has entertained millions for the past five years. Now, after its 5th Anniversary, fans will get to enjoy a new mobile game!
Fans of the series and gacha gaming enthusiasts alike can act as a producer from 283 Production to recruit, train, and produce 26 idols from the franchise, including the freshly added Luca Ikaruga! Players that prefer the web browser version may apply to test the demoby May 7th and up to 80,000 players will be able to play the demo later that month. The new game features auditions, lessons, and performances from all your favorite characters with the accompanying music from the series.
Please note that this game is free to play, but includes in-game purchases. Please play responsibly.
This announcement comes just a month after news dropped of the browser game’s anime adaptation, airing spring 2024. Japanese theaters will host the anime in three, four-episode sessions across the country before its release. Here is the teaser for the anime:
