They say, “another day, another dollar,” but in the life of an otaku, it’s more like “another day, another series with an insanely long and ridiculous title that we’re going to end up binging.”
On April 5, a new trailer and first key visual was released for an upcoming anime titled, I’m Giving the Disgraced Noble Lady I Rescued a Crash Course in Naughtiness: I’ll Spoil Her with Delicacies and Style to Make Her the Happiest Woman in the World! Originally released as a light novel in August 2019, it was written by Sametaro Fukada and Sakura Miwabe, and illustrated by Ichiho Katsura, who later went on to create a manga in Fall 2022.
Kodansha USA, the manga’s English publisher, describes the series as follows:
What does a young noblewoman freshly betrayed by her betrothed need most? A crash course in everything naughty! And who better to teach her than the feared hermit sorcerer who for some reason can’t help but pamper her to no end?
What we know so far is promising, with notable voice actors Tomokazu Sugita (Gintoki in Gintama) and Saori Hayami (Yor in Spy x Family) confirmed as the voices of Allen and Charlotte. The manga already has a strong following, so these particular voice actors will definitely bring the characters to life.
Check out the trailer below:
Equally impressive are the following key stakeholders in this project:
- Directing: Takashi Asami (Black Clover)
- Character Design: Miori Suzuwa (Lupin III: The Woman Called )
- Script: Hiroki Uehida (Requiem of the Rose King)
- Music: Masato Koda (Domestic Girlfriend, KONOSUBA -God’s blessing on this wonderful world!)
To be quite honest, I would normally go a little further in-depth on a new anime’s overall premise. That said, I think the title really speaks for itself. What do you think of this series? Does the title pique your interest, and is there such a thing as too long of a title? Let us know in the comments below!
