I remember it as if it were yesterday- wait, it did happen yesterday; Jujutsu Kaisen’s official Twitter blessed us with a key visual for its second season. MAPPA knew how much we’ve been wanting more, and they’ve answered our prayers with a new trailer to show us what’s in store for us. Season Two will be airing as 2 cours and we cannot wait!
The first cour will take us even further back in time to Gojo’s past. This part of the manga is known as the Hidden Inventory Arc, when Gojo was a high school student alongside Suguru Geto and Shouko Ieiri.
The second cour will adapt the Shibuya Incident Arc, which takes place after the events of Season One.
For fans that aren’t caught up on the manga, just know that you have lots of curses, lots of action, and lots of Gojo in your future.
Season One introduced the main characters in present day Tokyo, where Yuj Itadorii’s education as a00 fledgling jujutsu sorcerer is as swift as it is scary. When it comes to culture shock, nothing could be more abrupt than finding yourself face to face with deadly curses, dead fingers, and the ability to annihilate said curses. The movie gave us back story and even more action, showcasing the events leading up to the first season.
Jujutsu Kaisen has taken us on a wild ride since the anime was broadcast October 2020, through March 2021. From the anime, to the movie, to the still as-of-yet unfinished manga, the creators have been consistently providing fans with jujutsu sorcerer content. No matter how a person gets their JJK fix, there is something there for everyone to stay enthralled.
