It’s that time again, fellow trainers!
Saturday, March 18th, between 2 p.m and 5 p.m local time, join countless other trainers across the globe in the hunt for shiny Slowpoke and the first appearance of the shiny Galarian Slowpoke!
Remember, you have up to 5 hours after the event to evolve Slowpoke or Galarian Slowpoke into Slowbro, Galarian Slowbro, Slowking, or Galarian Slowking for your Pokémon to learn the charged attack “Surf”!
Keep in mind, that when evolving Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro you normally need to catch 30 poison type pokemon while adventuring with them as your buddy. However, during the event, you will need to catch 30 psychic type while adventuring with them as your buddy, but this change won’t last past 10 p.m local time!
If you’re wondering what adventure spoils await, here is a list of special features during the event:
- 3-hour incense and lures
- 3x the XP when catching Pokémon
- 2x the candy/candy XL when catching Pokémon
- +1 special trade for 50% less stardust
- Increased chance of photobombs
If that isn’t enough for you, in the shop you can purchase the special research task, Slow and Slower, for $1 USD. If you’re feeling generous, you can also gift the research task to friends who you’ve obtained friendship levels with of “great friends” or higher!
