One Punch Man: World Ends its Service in February 2026

Initially released on January 31st, 2024, One Punch Man: World took over the anime and gaming worlds by storm. However, after only two years, One Punch Man: World announced on its official X account that it would end its services on February 27, 2026, along with the official schedule for its conclusion.

Although One Punch Man: World is still available until February 27th, certain aspects of the game have already ended. As of January 12th, in-game purchases have been disabled. Additionally, the developers have officially removed the game from the App Store. With the game off the App Store, no new accounts can be created. Finally, the Discord channel that players previously had access to has since been closed.

However, players who own in-game “World Star / Gold” can continue to use those services. For players with additional questions, the Customer Support team will continue to answer them until March 29, 2026.

As for February 27, 2026, the game’s login will be disabled at 8 a.m. (UTC-2). Servers will go offline, and the official One Punch Man: World website and social media accounts will also close.

A Disappointing Game and Season 3

Many fans found the closure of One Punch Man: World predictable, given the game’s nature. Like many popular games out now, One Punch Man: World was a gacha game. However, fans on Reddit discussed how the game’s gacha system felt more like a cash grab than a genuine gameplay mechanic.

Fans also expressed that the lack of updates and new features made the game repetitive and boring. One Punch Man: World would’ve benefited from in-game battle updates that mirrored the series and manga to keep fans consistently entertained.

However, season three of One Punch Man likely was the reason the game lost new players. Season three was riddled with bad editing, lazy backgrounds and dull scenes that failed to replicate the exciting fights the manga gave us.

With a 7% rating on Popcornmeter, the season simply disappointed everyone who watched it. Following the season’s failures, One Punch Man: World likely took a direct tank in fans and players.

Until February 27, players can continue to enjoy the game until its end. Disney+ also streams One Punch Man for fans interested in the series.
