Sacramento’s largest anime convention is back, and it’s celebrating its 20th anniversary this summer! SacAnime is a biannual three-day convention that takes place in the heart of downtown Sacramento at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center. This summer, SacAnime is bringing guests from popular shows such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Hazbin Hotel, and Bluey, as well as Disney princesses and many more.
SacAnime Summer Activities
SacAnime has a wide variety of activities for anime fans. Whether you’re looking for anime merchandise, meeting voice actors and attending their panels, wanting to show off your cosplay, or play video and card games, there’s plenty of opportunities for fans of all ages.
Some of SacAnime’s activities include:
- Anime Music Video (AMV) Contest
- Artist Alley
- Cosplay Gatherings and Masquerade
- Gaming (Console/eSports, free play arcade, tabletop gaming, collectible card gaming)
- Meet and Greets and Autographs with voice actors, cosplayers and comic book artists
- Music events (Kpop/Jpop dance battles, live concerts, starlight ball, SacAnime late light music program event)
- Panels and workshops
- Style Aisle
- Swap Meet
- Underground Market (18+)
Tickets and Hours
SacAnime offers single day and weekend passes, and may be purchased here. Pre-show single day tickets start at $25 and weekend passes are $60. Passes may be purchased at the door for an additional cost.
Registration takes place at the Sheraton Grand lower lobby. Badges can be picked up Thursday, August 29 from 4 to 10 p.m. or during SacAnime.
SacAnime Summer hours are as follows:
Friday: Noon – 11 p.m. | Registration: 9 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 11 p.m. | Registration: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. | Registration: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
