Summer is over. It’s getting colder. Now is a perfect time to add “watch a new anime” to your list of indoor activities! Here is list of five anime to watch this fall.

5. Dr. STONE - 3 Seasons, 52 episodes (Ongoing)

Tired of seeing brawls every other episode? How about seeing more brains for a change.

Dr. STONE is about a highly intelligent high schooler named Senku. One day, a massive green light appears in the sky and turns presumably every human on the planet into a statue. 3,700 years pass and Senku is a conscious but immobile statue for all of these years until one day, the stones break off his body piece by piece. He soon finds out that he’s not the only human that isn’t petrified anymore. Now it’s up to Senku and the friends he makes along the journey to pick up the world where it left off using the power of science.

4. AKAME GA KILL! - 1 season, 24 episodes (Completed)

Are you a fan of hack and slash video games looking for an epic anime to enjoy this fall? Slasher films? AKAME GA KILL is an action anime that has flown under the radar for almost a decade.

This series starts with a young man named Tatsumi and his friends on a trip to the capital with hopes of helping out their village. On this trip, Tatsumi’s friends get trapped and slaughtered. A now sad and determined Tatsumi comes across a group of assassins named “Night Raid.” This group of assassins have special weapons called “Imperial arms.” Imperial arms are rare, incredible and distinct. 

Tatsumi and “Night Raid” share the same goal: to take down the high powers in the corrupt capital.

3. Tower of God - 1 season, 13 episodes (Ongoing)

Battles, strategies, and ever expanding worlds—this series has it all! Tower of God has the shortest season on the list which is perfect if you’re looking for something to pass the time while not taking up too much of it. 

Bam is a boy that spent his life underneath a mysterious tower until one day a girl named Rachel disappears before Bam’s eyes. Climbing the tower is the only chance Bam has of seeing Rachel again. This tower has a numerous amount of floors and there’s no telling what challenges await on any of them.

2. The Melancholy of Harui Suzumiya - 1 season, 28 episodes (Completed)

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya follows a high school girl named Harui. Harui has incredible, other worldly abilities that she is not conscious of. Haruhi, a god, and a time traveler sit in a classroom while trying to figure out how to save the universe. 

The stakes in this series get higher every episode. Prepare to be entertained!

If you’re a fan of Sci-Fi, then Steins;Gate is an anime you should watch this fall. The series is about a scientist named Rintarou Okabe who tries to build something that many people have dreamed of creating at some point: a time Machine. With the help of his friends and a “phone-operated microwave,” this group uncovers mysteries and attempts the impossible.
